Lindsay Eccles (she/her/hers)

Associate Counselor

My name is Lindsay and I’m a strengths-based counselor that enjoys working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. My therapeutic approaches include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Play Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Family Systems, among others. I am in process of becoming certified in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), for couples. I also provide Christian-based counseling, as requested, per client. I learned Spanish as a second language as a young adult and am currently proficient.

As a therapist, I have supported clients experiencing anxiety, ADHD, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), chronic illness, co-parenting challenges, depression, divorce/separation (and impact on children), lack of goals or direction in life, life and career transitions, low self-esteem, marital and family relationship distress, parenting challenges, substance use, suicidal ideation, trauma, and several clients with dual diagnoses.

Before transitioning to a new career, I worked for more than a decade with children and adolescents with developmental delays and disabilities, and their parents. Prior to that, I worked in community outreach programs providing education and support to families with children with chronic health issues. My education includes a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy with emphasis in Clinical Counseling, and bachelor’s degrees in Communicative Disorders, and Marriage, Family, Human Development.

I believe there’s something special about the alliance between client and therapist that produces momentum towards hope, healing, and positive change. I look forward to working with you.

“Life is both amazing and terrible….The inconvenient truth is that almost everything that makes our life rich, full, and meaningful comes with a painful downside.”— Russ Harris
