The Whole Soul is a counseling agency located in Fair Oaks, California—a quaint community within the Sacramento region. Our therapists provide individualized counseling to folks of all ages, and take a holistic approach to therapy. We create a warm, inviting space for all clients to feel comfortable in working through unhealed wounds and other aspects of their lives in order to live authentically and feel connected to themselves, their loved ones, and their communities. The Whole Soul Counseling believes that all individuals, provided with the support and care they need, along with their own willingness and courage, can heal and grow and flourish in life. We are an inclusive agency that works with clients of all ages, sexual orientations, races, ethnicities, religions, neurodiversities, and socioeconomic statuses. We provide individual and family counseling, along with group counseling. The Whole Soul believes strongly in the healing power of connection and compassion throughout our journeys.
At The Whole Soul, we have several different levels of therapists. You can read about the differences here.
Lauren Mahakian, LCSW (she/her)
Director, Therapist
I believe in the incredible power of resiliency within each of us. All of us experience pain and hardships throughout our lives; some of which are easier to work through than others. I feel that with the right supports in place, we can all heal our deepest wounds.
Tatevik Vardanyan (she/her)

I am a Master of Social Work (MSW) Counseling Student Intern at Whole Soul Counseling, committed to creating a compassionate and inclusive space where clients feel seen, heard, and empowered. I believe in meeting each person where they are, honoring their unique story, and working collaboratively toward healing and growth.
Chelsie Moak (she/her)
Counseling Student Intern
I’m a former public school teacher and currently an educational leader and mom who is passionate about supporting caregivers in service of our youth and our most marginalized communities. I love working with people who give so much of themselves to others, whether through parenting, teaching, or leadership in service roles, because I know how much it takes and how much it matters.
